On Tuesday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked on the phone with Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel. The Israeli prime minister told PM Modi about the latest developments in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Prime Minister’s Office said in a press release, “The Prime Minister stressed the need for ongoing humanitarian aid for the affected population and called for an early and peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy, including the release of all hostages.” Each leader agreed to keep in touch.
PM Modi wrote on X, “Had a productive exchange of views with PM @netanyahu on the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, including shared concerns about the safety of maritime traffic.” India has always pushed for the early return of peace and stability in the region and for continued humanitarian aid to be sent to those who have been affected.
Israel released a statement saying that PM Modi and Netanyahu also talked about how important it was to protect freedom of navigation in the Bab-el-Mandeb. The Israel Prime Minister’s Office wrote on X, “The two leaders also talked about speeding up the arrival of Indian workers in the State of Israel.” Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Prime Minister Modi of India for supporting Israel’s right to fight a war against the terrorist group Hamas.
It is important to note that the war between Israel and Hamas began when the terrorist group invaded southern Israel and killed over 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took over 200 hostages. Jerusalem has promised to destroy Hamas.
And in Gaza, the health ministry, which is run by Hamas, said that at least 19,667 Palestinians have died in the war between Israel and Hamas since October 7, when Hamas attacked Israel. This was reported by The Times of Israel.
A report in The Times of Israel said that 52,586 people in Gaza have been hurt in the fighting that has been going on for more than two months. The numbers can’t be checked because Hamas doesn’t tell the difference between combatants and civilians.
