India’s ‘Pralay’ Missile Test-Fire Off Odisha Coast A Success

A Defense source said that India successfully tested its surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) “Pralay” on Tuesday from Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha.
He said that the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) made the rocket to meet the country’s defense needs along its borders with China and Pakistan.
The missile, which was launched at 9:50 a.m., completed its task, according to the official. Along its path along the coast, a number of tracking devices kept an eye on it.
“Pralay” is a short-range, surface-to-surface missile that can carry 500 to 1,000 kg of cargo. The battlefield missile with solid fuel is built on the Prithvi Defence Vehicle.
He said that Pralay was made to be used along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and the Line of Control (LoC).
He said that the “Pralay” missile is like the “Dong Feng 12” missile from China and the “Iskander” missile from Russia, both of which are used in the war with Ukraine. As part of its defense system, Pakistan also has tactical ballistic weapons.
