Axel, an elite assault dog in the Indian Army, was killed in action last week after being hit by bullets fired by a terrorist during a gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.

A tribute video to Axel has gone viral on social media. Major (Retd) Surendra Poonia shared the video. The video has already received over 5000 likes and has been viewed 55,000 times.
Before going into action, trained dogs in the armed forces go through rigorous commando-style training.
