Army Chief’s Vision Prioritizes Peaceful Dispute Resolution In The Indo-Pacific

Chief of Army Staff Gen. Manoj Pande said on Tuesday that India’s outlook for the Indo-Pacific is to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all nations. This comes as the world becomes more worried about China’s aggressive military moves in the region.
.In a speech to the army chiefs of Indo-Pacific countries, Gen. Pande also said that India’s commitment to working well with everyone in the area has not changed and will not change.
He said that India’s strategy for the Indo-Pacific is based on peaceful ways to settle disagreements, not using force, and following international laws.
“Even though countries are working toward a free Indo-Pacific, there are still signs of contestations and competitions between states,” the Army chief said.
