Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Army Chief General Manoj Pande were all at the start of the “Bharat Shakti” exercise in Rajasthan’s Pokhran firing range on Tuesday to show off the strength of defense equipment made in India by all three forces.

The work out will last for around 50 minutes.

Joint efforts that work well together will be the key in India. “Through live fire and maneuver demonstrations, we hope to show off the operational capabilities of all three services to counter any threat by utilizing indigenous capabilities and the ability to fight in the face of global upheavals,” Major General C. S. Mann, Additional Director General, Army Design Bureau, had earlier stated.

Sources in the defense establishment said that the first drill of this size is “not geared toward any direction (northern or western border) or any adversaries.”
