A man who was thought to be working for Pakistan’s spy network, Inter-Services Intelligence, or ISI, was caught here on Sunday. An official statement said that the man gave his handlers important information about Indian military installations.
“The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) picked up Raees. He was from Gonda. “He was called to the ATS headquarters here, and when he was questioned, he admitted to spying,” Special DG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said in a statement.
The cops say that Raees met a man named Armaan in Mumbai. Armaan then convinced Raees to spy against India. A Pakistani citizen also told him that he would get money and a job in Dubai.
In 2022, Raees got a call on WhatsApp from a foreign number. The caller told him to get in touch with Hussain. Then, the cops said, he was asked to send pictures of India’s most important military installations. They said that Salman and another man who couldn’t be named were also involved in the crime.
