Indian Army Boosts Security Along LoC Ahead Of Republic Day In Jammu And Kashmir

In Gurez, Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army used shooters and the most up-to-date technology for night patrols to protect the Line of Control before Republic Day.

Major General Sumit Mehta said that the Republic Day Parade will have an all-women group for the first time. The contingent will include women from the Army’s military police as well as the other two services.

The Republic Day parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on January 26 and go from Vijay Chowk to Kartavya Path. Lt. Gen. Bhavnish Kumar, who is in charge of the Delhi area, would lead the parade. A group of women from all three services will be in the show for the first time. They will include women from the Army’s military police and the other two services, he said.
