The pilots of an Indian Air Force Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet had trouble slowing down because of a technical problem on Monday, according to the IAF. They had to use an arrester barrier to stop the plane.

The incident, which mostly involved the use of a speed control technique, happened in the morning at the Air Force Station in Lohegaon, Pune, after a normal training flight. An investigation has been ordered to find out what happened. IAF Public Relations Officer (PRO) Wing Commander Ashish Moghe said, “The Indian Air Force’s Su-30 MKI hit the aircraft arrester barrier at the Air Force Station in Pune today.

The event happened after a normal training flight, when a technical problem made it hard for the pilots to slow down enough on the landing roll. Planned actions are made to stop a fighter plane, such as putting on an arrester barrier gear.”

He said that the runway, which had been closed for a while, was made usable again and that an investigation into what happened had been ordered. The Lohegaon IAF station is where the civilian part of the Pune international airport is. It is where the IAF’s most important Sukhoi planes are based.
