Navy Commissions MH-60R Seahawk Choppers To Enhance Maritime Security

Navy Chief Admiral R. Harikumar said that the Indian Navy’s new MH 60R Seahawk multi-role helicopters will improve the country’s coastal security surveillance and anti-submarine warfare. On Wednesday, the Navy’s first MH 60R Squadron was commissioned.
The MH 60R helicopter was called one of the most powerful multi-role helicopters in the world by the Chief of the Naval Staff. It will greatly improve the country’s maritime powers and protect national interests.
“The Indian Navy has a clear duty to protect, preserve, promote, and pursue national interests in the maritime domain. This is our only promise to the Nation.” Admiral Harikumar said in Kochi, “MH 60Rs will improve our maritime surveillance and anti-submarine warfare capabilities with their cutting-edge sensors and ability to do more than one mission.”
There was a ceremony at INS Garuda in Kochi to set up the INAS 334 “Seahawks” navy air squadron. Captain M Abhishek Ram is in charge of the MH 60R Naval Air Squadron.
This helicopter is a naval version of the Blackhawk. It was made to fight submarines and surface ships, do search and rescue missions, and take sick people to hospitals, among other things.
