Jindal Stainless and Yantra India Sign Deal to Make Advanced Defense Products

State-owned Yantra India Ltd. and stainless steel producer Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) have signed a contract for the development and production of defence products as part of JSL’s growth goals.

JSL said in a press release that its defence division Jindal Defence & Aerospace (Jindal Defence And Aerospace) and the government-owned Yantra India Ltd. have signed an MoU for the engineering, development, and production of defence goods using their respective capabilities.

The corporation stated on Friday that the action is in keeping with the government’s desire for the public-private partnership to support the Indian armed services.

“Jindal Defence & Aerospace is thrilled to introduce nickel-based alloys, armour steel glass fibre, and carbon fibre composites for next-generation defence applications, positioning India as an Atmanirbhar in the field of innovative materials.

For important DRDO and ISRO projects in the past, including the PSLV satellite launcher, GSLV Mk-3, Chandrayaan, Gaganyaan, KS Nuclear Submarine missile system, and missile canister for nearly all missile programmes, Jindal Defence and Aerospace has provided materials.
