J-K: Joint Operation Recovers Huge Munitions Stash In North Kupwara

In a joint operation with the Jammu Kashmir Police, the Indian Army found a huge cache of weapons in the Haphruda forest in the North Kupwara district. The Indian Army told the press about this in a press statement.

According to the news release, and based on information from reliable sources, the Indian Army and J-K police carried out an operation on Thursday morning in the Haphruda forest in the North Kupwara area.

The operation led to the recovery of a huge stash of weapons, including 720 7.62 mm rounds (most likely from China), five RPG rounds, nine RPG booster tubes, and 10 UBGL grenades (most likely from Russia), according to a press statement.

The ammunition was hidden in two places in the bush with the right packaging, and some of it was also found in packages that had been sealed.
