INS Trishul Arrives In Seychelles To Participate In Seychelles National Day Celebrations On 29 Jun 23

As part of Operational Deployment, the INS Trishul stopped at the port of Seychelles. This shows how friendly India is with its ocean neighbors. During the visit, the Commanding Officer paid courtesy calls to H.E. Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and top defense leaders of Seychelles Armed Forces. He also met with Mr. Kartik Pande, the Indian High Commissioner in Seychelles.

Before going into port, the ship did joint EEZ monitoring. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, said that the joint EEZ monitoring with the Indian Navy was a good thing because it helped to strengthen the maritime cooperation between the two countries.

During the talks, Brigadier Michael Rosette, CDF of the Seychelles Defense Forces, talked about how close India and Seychelles are. Col Jean Attala, the Seychelles Defense Forces’ Chief of Staff, and Col Kunal Sharma, the Seychelles Defense Forces’ Military Advisor, were also there.

The ship is set to take part in the events for the Seychelles National Day on June 29.
