Officials from the Indian Army said that the process of buying eight landing attack craft has begun. These boats will be used for search and rescue missions in creeks and river basins across the country.

The Army wants the boats to be able to get in and out of the water without a dock. Officials also said that the plan to buy six fast patrol boats through the Make in India in Defense program is still on track.

The Indian Army is also aiming to start a series of talks called the Chanakya Defence Dialogue.

Sources say that the event’s official start date is set for October 25 or 26 with a talk by Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande.

The conversation series’ first episode is likely to happen in the first or second week of November.

Officials said it would be a monthly event that would bring together the smartest people in global defense and strategy under one roof. The goal is to create a place where ideas will mix and new insights will be born.

The Army is putting on this event with the help of the well-known think group Centre for Land and Warfare Studies (CLAWS).

People from many countries, such as Australia, France, Japan, and the US, will come together to take part.

The event will bring together famous speakers, military strategists, diplomats, and top thinkers in defense and strategic issues over the course of two days. It will talk about a wide range of security issues and plans in South Asia and the Indo-Pacific, which are very important areas.

The Indian Army will be the first to combine knowledge, strategy, and experience in this way. They will be thinking about things like Neighbourhood Forces, the clear border between India and the Pacific, and how new technologies are changing defense and security in real ways.
