India Reaffirms PoK as Integral Territory, Calls on Pakistan to Face Accountability

India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has reiterated that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is an inseparable part of India, following reports of protests and unrest in the area. The ministry underlined that Pakistan must be held responsible for any actions that disrupt peace and stability in the region.

An MEA spokesperson emphasized that India remains steadfast in protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity. “Any attempts to challenge India’s rightful claims over PoK are unacceptable and will be addressed through appropriate diplomatic and international channels,” the spokesperson said.

Recent demonstrations in PoK have once again brought attention to the longstanding territorial dispute between India and Pakistan. India’s official stance continues to reject any attempts by Pakistan to undermine its authority in the region, while stressing that international norms must be upheld.

Experts note that the MEA’s statement serves as a clear message to Pakistan and the global community: India will actively safeguard its territorial boundaries and ensure that provocations are met with accountability.

The ministry further highlighted that peaceful dialogue remains the preferred approach, but India’s position on PoK is firm and non-negotiable.
