IAF Showcases Aerial Brilliance in Guwahati to Celebrate 93rd Anniversary

Breathtaking maneuvers by IAF aircraft over the Brahmaputra River left spectators in awe as the force marked its 93rd year of service to the nation.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Saturday transformed the skies over the Brahmaputra River into a stage of precision, power, and pride with a grand air show marking its 93rd anniversary. The event drew massive crowds to the riverfront as fighter jets, helicopters, and aerobatic teams displayed world-class flying skills against the stunning Guwahati skyline.

The air show featured thrilling performances by the Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft, the Sarang helicopter display team, and other IAF assets that showcased the force’s operational excellence and teamwork. The Sarang team, flying indigenously built HAL Dhruv helicopters, captivated the audience with graceful formations and high-risk maneuvers executed with absolute precision.

Officials said the event aimed to bring the Indian Air Force closer to the people, especially the youth of the Northeast, while highlighting the force’s modern capabilities and humanitarian contributions. Static displays and information kiosks were also set up to help visitors understand the IAF’s role in national defence and relief operations.

Established in 1932, the IAF has evolved into one of the world’s most advanced air forces. As it enters its 93rd year, the air show in Guwahati served as a proud reminder of the force’s commitment to safeguarding India’s skies and inspiring future generations to serve the nation.
