Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Signals Resumption of Operation Sindoor Phases 2 & 3

India Stands Ready to Respond to Any Future Terror Threats from Pakistan

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has indicated that India is prepared to resume the second and third phases of Operation Sindoor if required. Speaking to the Indian community in Morocco, Singh emphasized that the military operation against terrorism can be restarted at any time, depending on Pakistan’s conduct.

Singh referred to the decisive Indian response following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. “The first question I asked the next day with the Chiefs of Staff and defence officials was whether they were ready. They replied immediately and positively,” he stated, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had granted full authorization to act. The strikes successfully targeted terror hotbeds 100 km inside Pakistani territory, eliminating key militants and striking a top JeM leader’s network.

Highlighting India’s approach, Singh remarked, “We did not target anyone based on religion, but on their actions.” Regarding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, he added optimistically, “PoK will be ours on its own. Demands have started emerging there, and the day will come when PoK itself will say, ‘I am also India’.”

Operation Sindoor was initiated as a strong response to the Pahalgam attack, with Indian forces conducting precision strikes that neutralized over 100 militants and targeted Pakistani air bases following heightened tensions.

India continues to maintain a state of readiness, with defence leadership prepared to respond decisively to any future terrorist threats.
