An old video of Indian and Chinese troops fighting at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in a hilly area has resurfaced on social media and gone viral, just days after a similar fight happened near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.
The video, which is thought to have been shot last year, shows Indian troops stopping PLA troops from changing the status quo of the LAC and beating up Chinese troops who were trying to cross the LAC.
Last week, Indian troops stopped Chinese soldiers from entering Indian territory during a fight at the border that left both sides hurt, India’s defence minister said on Tuesday. It was the first fight of this kind between the two Asian giants since 2020.
This VDO of a clash between Indian & Chinese soldiers is being shared regarding d Tawang incident.
Some r dismissing it as an ‘Old VDO’.

The event happened on December 9 in the Tawang area of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, which is in the northeastern Himalayas.
An Indian defence source told Reuters that patrol teams from both sides ran into each other on one of the peaks. In the hand-to-hand fight that followed, some soldiers fell and hurt themselves on the rocky ground. Two other sources said that about six Indian soldiers were hurt in small ways.
The defence source said that the Line of Actual Control (LAC), which is not marked, means that soldiers from both sides sometimes cross into each other’s territory. Then, these things are talked about at flag meetings so that they don’t get worse.
“Sometimes we think of some areas as ours, and sometimes they do,” said the source, who did not want to be named because Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had already spoken in parliament about an attempt by the PLA to enter Indian territory.
“These are small fights that happen often and are not very important. This wasn’t a big deal.”
Singh told lawmakers that the fight “injured a few people on both sides,” but that “on our side, there were no serious casualties.”
Singh said, “PLA troops tried to cross the LAC in the Yangtse area of the Tawang Sector and change things on their own.”
“Our troops fought back against the Chinese attempt in a firm and determined way. After that, there was a fight in which the brave Indian Army stopped the PLA from entering our territory and forced them to go back to their posts.”
Singh said that the Chinese side had been asked to stop doing things like this, and that the problem had been brought up with China through diplomatic channels.
Wang Wenbin, a spokesman for China’s foreign ministry, told a news conference that things at the border were “generally stable.”
