India-Morocco Ties Strengthen as Rajnath Singh Engages Indian Community in Rabat
Defence Minister hails India’s defence industry growth and strategic partnership with Morocco

In a historic visit to Morocco, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with the Indian diaspora in Rabat, emphasizing the nation’s remarkable progress in defence production and exports. Highlighting that India’s defence industry has reached a production milestone of ₹1.5 lakh crore, with exports exceeding ₹23,000 crore, Singh stated that India now exports defence equipment to over 100 countries.
He praised the multidimensional growth India has achieved in the past decade, moving from the 11th to the 4th largest economy globally, and projected to soon enter the top three. Singh also acknowledged the decisive actions of the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor, ensuring preparedness to respond to threats against Indian citizens.
This visit marks the first-ever by an Indian Defence Minister to Morocco, signaling deepening strategic and defence cooperation between the two nations. The Indian community in Morocco welcomed Singh’s visit, celebrating the strengthening of bilateral ties and the contribution of Indians to Morocco’s development.
