PM Modi’s Mantra For Indo-Pacific Echoed By Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

On Tuesday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi set a mantra for the Indo-Pacific region that was built on peace, prosperity, dialogue, and mutual respect.

It was also called a “grand success” by the Defense Minister that all twenty-one G20 countries signed the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration.

“The Indo-Pacific has developed into a pivotal geopolitical region,” Rajnath Singh said, pointing out the difficult security issues the Indo-Pacific region faces.”The region has a lot of complicated security problems, like border disputes and piracy,” the Defense Minister said.

These words came out at the 13th Indo-Pacific forces Chiefs’ Conference, which took place in New Delhi over two days and was co-hosted by the forces of India and the US.

Rajnath Singh said in his speech that the concerns of small countries in the Indo-Pacific region about climate change should be given the attention they deserve.

“It was a huge success that all G20 member countries agreed to sign the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration.” Narendra Modi, our prime minister, spoke about the Indo-Pacific region as a place built on “mutual respect, dialogue, cooperation, peace, and prosperity.”

“…the Indo-Pacific region is important for more than just trade or communication lines; it is also important for politics, security, and diplomacy,” the Defense Minister said.

It is important to note that this is the biggest conference in the area for land forces (army, marines, etc.).

The goal of these gatherings is to support peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific area through friendship, dialogue, and mutual understanding.

Its theme for this year is “Together for Peace: Sustaining Peace and Stability in the Indo-Pacific Region.”

“In his welcome speech, Army Chief General Maoj Pande talked about what the two-day meeting would cover.

“This year’s theme, ‘Together for Peace: Sustaining Peace and Stability in the Indo-Pacific Region,'” General Pande said, “hits home with the idea of a safe, stable, free, open, and welcoming Indo-Pacific that gives all nations the chance to grow.”

“The Indo-Pacific nations are important to geopolitics and the economy because they are home to 65% of the world’s people, 63% of the world’s GDP, 46% of the world’s merchandise market, and 50% of the world’s maritime trade.” Because of this, the region’s economic and geographical importance to the world makes it automatically the most important stage in today’s geo-strategic picture, General Pande said.

IPAMS has grown from nine countries at its first meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1977 to 31 countries in Seoul, Korea, in 2017.The United States Army and the country that hosts IPACC work together to put it on every other year. The IPAMS meeting has been going on for a long time and is held every year.
