Indian Rafales Shine At France’s Bastille Day Parade – PM Modi Honored As Chief Guest

As part of the military contingent, three Indian Air Force Rafale fighter jets are set to take part in the Bastille Day flypast over the Champs Elysees in Paris, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the guest of honor, according to a press statement. On July 14, which is Bastille Day in France, Paris hosts the annual military parade. The 25th anniversary of the “strategic partnership” between France and India will take place at the same time as PM Modi’s trip. Earlier, an Indian Defense Official also stated that the Indian Air Force would send fighter planes to the event to take part in the flypast.

On Bastille Day, the Indian armed group would also be part of the group that marched. PM Modi will be the Guest of Honor on July 14, which is France’s National Day. This is because President Macron of France asked him to be. Macron had earlier written, “Dear Narendra, I’m very excited to have you as a guest of honor at the July 14 parade in Paris.”

The official statement from the Indian Embassy in France says that the Prime Minister’s visit will mark the beginning of the next phase of the India-France Strategic Partnership by setting new and ambitious goals for our strategic, cultural, scientific, academic, and economic cooperation in a wide range of fields.

India and France both support the goals and principles of the UN Charter, which is the basis of their cooperation in the Indo-Pacific area. They also both want peace and security, especially in Europe and the Indo-Pacific.

The official statement said, “This historic visit of PM Modi will also lead to joint initiatives to address the most pressing issues of our time, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. It will also be an opportunity for India and France to reaffirm their commitment to multilateralism, including in the context of India’s G20 Presidency.”
