Yudh Kaushal 3.0: Indian Army Demonstrates Next-Gen Warfare in Arunachal’s Harsh Terrain

Exercise focuses on integrating drones, precision strikes, and indigenous innovations in high-altitude combat.

The Indian Army has successfully carried out Yudh Kaushal 3.0, a major field exercise in the Kameng sector of Arunachal Pradesh, aimed at validating combat preparedness in one of the country’s most demanding environments.

Conducted at high altitudes and under extreme weather conditions, the drill tested the Army’s ability to conduct sustained operations while incorporating the latest technologies and battle concepts.

A highlight of the exercise was the deployment of the newly raised ASHNI platoons, specialized units tasked with blending cutting-edge systems such as unmanned aerial platforms, surveillance tools, and advanced targeting systems into real-time battlefield scenarios.

The Army also demonstrated precision strike capabilities, drone-assisted surveillance, and multi-domain coordination, showcasing how land, air, and digital platforms can be integrated for swift and decisive action.

Officials emphasized that Yudh Kaushal 3.0 was not only about operational readiness but also about embracing indigenous defence solutions. The exercise featured home-grown equipment developed under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, reinforcing India’s drive for self-reliance in the defence sector.

According to the Army, the exercise reflected the ongoing transformation within the force, aligning with the vision of building a modern, technology-enabled, and agile military capable of countering threats across varied terrains.
