J-K’s Baramulla Witnesses Arrest Of Two ‘Hybrid’ Terrorists

Police say that security forces in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, caught two “hybrid terrorists” from the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) group on Wednesday. Based on a tip, security forces set up a mobile checkpoint for vehicles at Azadgunj in the town of Baramulla.

A police officer said that when the two suspects saw the stop, they tried to run away.

“The suspects were caught in a smart way. During their personal searches, one pistol, one pistol magazine, four pistol rounds, and one grenade were found on them, and they were taken into custody right away, the officer said.

He said that Faisal Majeed Ganie and Nurul Kamran Ganie, both from Baramulla, were the two people.

“Early investigations have shown that the people are hybrid terrorists who are connected to the banned terrorist group LeT. Before Independence Day, they got the weapons and ammo they would need to do terrorist acts in Baramulla town, the official said.
