Security Forces Step Up Search Operations Across Udhampur, Reasi and Kathua

Security forces have intensified search operations across Udhampur, Reasi and Kathua districts of Jammu and Kashmir following reports of suspicious movement by unidentified individuals in several areas.
In Udhampur, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have launched joint cordon-and-search operations in areas around Talot and Khuban after reports of two suspicious individuals being spotted during the night. Security personnel are searching the surrounding areas and monitoring possible movement routes.
The latest operation comes amid heightened security across the Jammu region, particularly in forested and remote locations that could provide cover for unidentified persons. Security teams are checking vulnerable areas and maintaining surveillance to establish whether the reported movement poses any security threat.
Search operations have also been intensified in Reasi district, including forested areas around Sadini in Pouni. Security personnel are conducting searches based on information about the possible presence of suspicious individuals.
In Kathua, security forces have stepped up searches in villages near the International Border, particularly in the Hiranagar sector. The border-adjacent location has prompted authorities to maintain increased vigilance and closely monitor movement in nearby areas.
The coordinated operations involve security personnel checking suspected routes, forest stretches and other vulnerable locations. Local inputs are also being assessed as agencies work to verify the reports and determine the whereabouts and identity of the suspected individuals.
Officials have not confirmed any militant presence in connection with the reported sightings so far. Security forces, however, continue to maintain a heightened alert across the three districts as search operations remain underway.
The developments underline the continued security focus on Jammu and Kashmir, where police and central forces are maintaining close coordination to respond quickly to reports of suspicious activity and prevent potential threats.
