Rajnath Singh Urges Armed Forces to Accelerate Joint Operations for Future-Ready Defence
Calls for deeper coordination across land, air, sea, cyber, and space domains

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has reiterated that India’s military preparedness must be built on seamless integration of all three services – the Army, Navy, and Air Force – as modern warfare increasingly demands coordinated and technology-driven responses.
Speaking at a high-level defence interaction, Singh said that traditional silos between the services need to be dismantled in favour of joint planning, joint training, and joint execution. He emphasised that interoperability is not just a long-term reform goal, but an immediate requirement given the evolving nature of threats in the region.
He highlighted India’s transition towards theatre command structures, integrated communication networks, and common logistics systems, noting that these measures will significantly boost operational efficiency. Singh also urged the armed forces to invest in AI-enabled platforms, real-time surveillance systems, and network-centric warfare tools to ensure faster coordination during multi-domain operations.
The Defence Minister praised the services for their professionalism and adaptability but reminded them that future wars will not be fought as separate units – they will be won only through synchronised strength.
