Rajnath Approves Expansion of NCC To Foster Youth Development

The plan to add 3,000,000 more cadets to the National Cadet Corps (NCC) was approved by Rajnath Singh, the minister of defense.

The expansion is meant to meet the growing need for the NCC from schools across the country, according to the defense minister.

“Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved a plan to add three lakh more cadet positions to the National Cadet Corps,” the statement said.

A statement from the ministry said, “The NCC will now have a sanctioned strength of 20 lakh cadets, making it the largest uniformed youth organization in the world.” In 1948, there were only 20,000 cadets in the NCC.

A statement said that the plan for growth includes creating four new “Group Headquarters” and adding two new NCC units.

The ministry said, “Since NCC is an elective subject under the National Education Policy 2020, the expansion will help meet the hopes of young people who want to play a key role as future leaders of the nation.”

“The far-reaching effects of this expansion will lead to an equal distribution of vacancies across all States and Union Territories, and the waiting list of institutions wanting to join the NCC will go down,” it said.

One important part of the plan to grow is the idea of hiring former soldiers as NCC instructors so that their skills and knowledge can be put to good use.

The ministry said, “This noble initiative will make sure that the NCC cadets get good training and will create job opportunities for veterans.”

It said that the growth shows a commitment to making future leaders who are disciplined, strong, and devoted to service.

“The NCC wants to make a transformative impact by creating a space where young people can make a real difference in building the country,” it said.
