Pakistan is doing everything it can to send foreign terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir, Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi said on Wednesday. They want to stop the progress that is being made to improve security in the area.
He said that the army has tried to stop foreign terrorists in Rajouri and Poonch along the Line of Control (LoC).
“The most important thing is that Pakistan is trying to send foreign terrorists here, even though the security situation inside Pakistan is getting better, so that they can make some kind of problem.
“This is because of the progress we are making in Jammu and Kashmir,” Lt. Gen. Dwivedi told reporters on the sidelines of the North Tech Symposium at the IIT campus in Jagti, on the outskirts of Jammu city.
He said that more than 1.88 million people would go to Jammu and Kashmir in 2022. “Our goal for this year is to have 2.25 million people. They want to stop this journey toward growth, but we won’t let them,” he said.
In response to another question about Rajouri, he said, “We tried to kill foreign terrorists on the Line of Control (LoC) itself in Poonch and Rajouri.”
“But some come by road through Punjab and Nepal and try to do things here. In this latest meeting, we have done good things. He said, “One of Jawan was killed.”
When ultras shot and killed the sniffer dog Kent, he said, “Our Kent gave his life to save his master. He struck the terrorist by getting in front of him.” During a fight in the small town of Narla, two terrorists were killed.
During the gunfight, an Army member and Kent, a female Labrador who was six years old and part of the Army’s dog unit, both died. Three security guards were hurt.
