Naval Self-Reliance By 2047: Chief Of Naval Staff Envisions Aatmanirbhar Navy

Captain General R. Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff, said on Wednesday that the Indian Navy will be “atmanirbhar” (self-sufficient) by 2047. He said these things at the fourth convocation of Karnavati University in Gandhinagar.

In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal, we need to get rid of colonial and old ways of doing things. The way we think about slavery needs to end for everyone. We are moving forward as a country today so that we can be fully grown by 2047. The youth’s energy and excitement will help this growth reach its goals. “You are the Amrit Peedhi (golden generation) of Bharat,” Admiral R. Hari Kumar told them.

The growth that India wants is built on an economy that depends on exports. That’s where the Indian Navy comes in. We have a deep connection to the sea and will do everything we can to protect India’s marine trade and maritime interests. In terms of volume, 95% of India’s trade today goes through the seas, and 68% of its value does too. “The seas are a part of every Indian’s way of life in some way,” he said.

He also said, “We have gone from being the 10th largest economy to the 5th largest in less than a decade and are on track to be the third largest by the end of this decade.” An equal society is what he meant.

“The Indian Navy makes a huge difference in the Indian economy.” “The defense sector creates jobs, and with the innovations happening in India, we are sure that the Indian Navy will become aatmanirbhar by 2047,” the Navy Chief stressed. “The National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal is well taken care of by the Indian Navy.” The first Indian navy ship will be named after a city, out of pride for the diamond city of Surat. “INS Surat will be put into service next year, and it will show how Bharat’s economy is growing in the world order,” Admiral Hari Kumar said.

An honorary doctorate in literature was given to Admiral R Hari Kumar by Karnavati University. He was given the degree for his “immense contribution to the Navy” by Ritesh Hada, president of Karnavati University.

After the ritual was over, Hada and Admiral Kumar opened the display cabinet for the Indian Naval Ship.

At the event, twenty-one gold medals were given out. Eight PhD students from the Karnavati School of Research were among those winner.
