IAF Chief Urges Commanders To Keep Pace With Global Tech Developments

IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari has told the force’s leaders to keep up with changes in technology around the world, especially in the areas of space, cyber, and electronic warfare that are still relatively new. There was a two-day Commanders’ Conference of the Western Air Command (WAC) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) here from December 11 to 12, and he spoke about his ideas. The IAF said in a statement on Tuesday.

Chaudhari told the commanders that they needed to keep up with changes in technology around the world, especially in the areas of space, cyber, and electronic warfare that are still new.

He also told to “ensure that operations are undertaken in an environment of denial to bolster the IAF’s aim to become a truly agile and adaptable air force that provides decisive aerospace power in furtherance of our national interests” .

A statement said that during the conference, the IAF chief talked with commanders of the WAC AoR about the effects of new technologies, the need to improve capabilities, and making the most of human resources.

In his speech, the Air Chief Marshal praised the WAC for keeping a “credible operational posture,” being ready to respond quickly whenever needed, and for its important work in disaster and humanitarian aid around the world.

He talked about “embracing a disruptive pattern of training while fostering a culture of discipline.”

It said that well-known speakers at the conference gave their thoughts on multi-domain operations that the IAF sees as important for future war.
