Defence Minister Rajnath Singh To Review Cadet’s Guard Of Honour At Air Force Academy

The Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) will be held at the Air Force Academy on the outskirts of the city on December 17. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be the chief guest and reviewing officer. As part of the pre-commissioning training for Flight Cadets from different parts of the Indian Air Force (IAF), the CGP of 212 Officers’ Course at AFA, Dundigal, would be held on Tuesday to mark the successful completion of the course.

“The Hon’ble Raksha Mantri would be the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer (RO) of the CGP,” it stated.

It said that during the event, the RO will give the “President’s Commission” to trainees who are graduating.

During the ceremony, “Wings” and “Brevets” are given to Flight Cadets, officers of the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, and people from friendly foreign countries.

It said that receiving “Wings” and “Brevets” is a big moment in the career of every military aviator and the end of a tough training period.

For doing great in all of their training, the Flight Cadet from the flying branch who comes in first in the order of merit will receive the Chief of the Air Staff, the “Sword of Honor,” and the “President’s Plaque.”

In addition, the Cadet is in charge of the parade.

After the parade, the Pilatus PC-7 training aircraft will fly by and do some aerobatics. The Su-30 Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will also put on an aerobatic show, and the Sarang helicopter display team will do an aerobatic show at the same time, the release said.
