Five Terrorists Neutralized In Encounter Near LoC In Kupwara, Jammu & Kashmir

The Kashmir Zone Police said that in the early hours of June 9, 2023, the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police worked together to kill five foreign attackers in Kupwara. Officials stated that a search is being done in the area.

Vijay Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of Kashmir police, said, “Five foreign terrorists were killed in an encounter, and a search operation is under way.”

When security forces heard that attackers were in the Jumagund Area, close to the Line of Control (LOC), the fight broke out. The town of Jumagund is in the Kupwara Sector. It is close to the Line of Control (LOC).

In a tweet, the Kashmir Zone police said, “Terrorists and joint parties of the Indian Army and the police are fighting in the Jumagund area near the Line of Control in the Kupwara District.” There will be more to come.”

Police say that on June 13, 2023, two attackers were shot and killed near the Line of Control (LOC) in Kupwara. The Kashmir Zone Police tweeted about the news. The cops said that the thing that happened happened in the Dobanar Macchal Area.

“The Indian Army and Kupwara Police worked together to kill two attackers in the Dobanar Macchal Area (LoC) of the Kupwara District. “The search is still going on,” it said in a tweet.

On June 2, 2023, a terrorist was killed in the Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir during a fight with security troops. A defense official said that when suspicious movements were seen in the Dassal Gujran forest area near Rajouri, the army and police worked together to set up a cordon and look for the people who were behind them.

He said that the search turned into a fight when the attacker shot at the forces, which made the forces shoot back.

On June 15, 2023, the rebels who had been pushed across the LOC tried to sneak in again, but the Indian Army stopped them. A huge amount of cargo, including food and medicine, as well as weapons and ammo, has been found.

Lt. Col. Devender Anand said that among the things that were found were an AK-47 assault rifle with nine magazines and 438 rounds, two pistols with four magazines and 60 rounds, six hand grenades, clothing, and drugs.By acting quickly, this stopped another attempt to sneak in, which could have upset the peace in Poonch District.

But terrorists have tried to get into Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir more than once. These areas are now being used as new battlegrounds between rebels and security forces.
