Denmark Gives Ukraine $250 Million In Military Help

Denmark’s defense ministry said Tuesday that it would send $250 million worth of military help to Ukraine in order to “support the upcoming Ukrainian offensive.”

The Danish Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the donation package included trucks for clearing mines, ammunition, and money to help buy air defense.

In a statement, acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen was quoted as saying, “The equipment in the donation package is essential to clear the way for Ukrainian tanks and mechanized infantry on the front line.”

Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said, “The new military donation package is our biggest one to date. It brings the total Danish support to almost 11 billion kronor.”
