CDS Gen Chauhan Unites Three Services In Strategic Dialogue

Gen. Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, met with senior military leaders on Wednesday for a combined leadership conclave. The discussions covered a wide range of topics, with a focus on geo-strategic issues and how to best handle any future national security threat. The defense ministry said that Gen Chauhan led the first session of the three-day conclave and talked about modern warfare and national security.

“Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan presided over the first session of Combined Leadership Conclave and interacted with the senior leadership of the armed forces in New Delhi,” it stated.

The three-day meeting is mostly about geostrategic issues, new and current security problems, and ways to make sure that the three services work together and integrate.

The ministry said that well-known people with a lot of experience in their fields will also talk to the participants and teach them about issues that are important to the whole country.

“The conclave aims to serve as a development programme for senior officers of the three services, focused on regional and national security issues with a view to enhance synergy, both at operational and strategic levels within the armed forces,” a statement said.

At the event were also Lt. Gen. JP Mathew, who is the Chief of the Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC), and other top officers from the Integrated Defence Staff.
