Navy’s Top Brass Undergoes Major Reshuffle, Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi Appointed New Vice Chief

There will be a big change in the top leadership of the Indian Navy because a lot of new people have been hired. The new Vice Chief of the force will start on January 4, 2019, and his name is Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi. He is the commander of the Western Naval Forces.

Leading the modernization of the navy is the job of the Vice Chief of Naval Staff. Vice Admiral Tripathi will be taking over the office when important purchases like getting MQ-9B Predator drones and Rafale fighter jets are made.

Vice Admiral Tripathi would be taking over for Vice Admiral SJ Singh, who is being moved to lead the Western Navy, which is based in Mumbai, after nine months as Vice Chief.

Also, the Navy will get a new Chief of Material. Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithis, who is currently in charge, is retiring, and Vice Admiral Kiran Deshmukh will take over his place.
