Army Implements 3-Tier Security System For Amarnath Yatra

Shri Amarnathji’s annual journey is going well, and every day, more and more pilgrims from all over the country are making their way to the Kashmir Valley.

A lot of planning and security measures have been put in place to make sure that the journey goes smoothly and without any problems.

The Army has said that a new, improved three-tier security system will be put into place.

Brigadier Amandeep Malhi said at a news conference yesterday that technology is a key part of the increased security, citing quadcopters, night vision devices (NVDs), anti-drone teams, and bomb squads as examples.

As of the last word, about 13,000 people had paid their respects to Lord Shiva’s naturally formed ice lingam at the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnathji in the south Kashmir Himalayas by 1300 hrs today.

Earlier today, the third group of 4,903 pilgrims left Jammu’s Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in 235 cars for the twin base camps of Nunwan, Pahalgam, and Baltal.

At the same time, all the necessary arrangements have been made at the base camps and along the way to the Shri Amarnathji cave shrine for the comfort and ease of the devotees who are coming to the area to do the darshan at the holy cave.
