An obvious problem with one of the systems caused two drop tanks on a Kiran aircraft of the Indian Air Force to be thrown out during routine training on Wednesday near Bakshi Ka Talab airfield on the outskirts of the city and land in a cornfield, the IAF said in a statement.

As stated in the statement, the plane landed safely and no one or anything was hurt or lost on the ground after the fuel tanks fell.

On a normal training flight, two drop tanks were dropped from an IAF Kiran aircraft this afternoon near Bakshi Ka Talab airfield because a system seemed to be acting up.

The IAF search party and civilian cops found the damaged drop tanks. “There were no injuries, deaths, or property losses on the ground because the drop tanks hit an empty field,” the statement said.
