“All these are known as quality costs, or those that we spend on to improve quality,” he said.

Rajnath said that making such equipment in India will boost India’s reputation in the international market and make sure that the domestic defense industry is seen as trustworthy because of its high-quality products.

He also stressed how important it is to keep costs low while making high-quality defense products.
