Indian Navy Sets Sail Towards Second Indigenous Aircraft Carrier

The Indian Navy has sent a big plan to the government for the Cochin Shipyard Limited to build the second aircraft carrier. This is a big step toward making the military more Indian.
The Defense Ministry has gotten a plan to build and buy the second indigenous aircraft carrier, which would be called the Indigenous Aircraft Carrier-2.
They said that the Defense Ministry would soon talk about the Indian Navy’s plan, which is one of the largest programs in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance) program for the defense sector.
When the government gives the go-ahead for the IAC-2 project, the Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kerala will be able to create several thousand direct jobs and many more secondary jobs.
Prime Minister Modi launched the first aircraft carrier made in India, INS Vikrant, in Kochi in September of last year. The skill that Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has developed in building such big ships was praised.
The Indian Navy has been pushing for three aircraft carriers so that they can keep at least one on each port while one is being fixed up. Officials say that the Indian Navy would be able to keep up with all the other armies in the Indo-Pacific area if it had three aircraft carriers.
The Indian Navy will also get 26 new Rafale fighter planes for the INS Vikrant and is looking to buy the indigenous Twin engine Deck L-based Fighter planes, which are now expected to be made in big numbers to be used on the three carriers.
Admiral R. Hari Kumar said recently that the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, which was made in India, will be based in Visakhapatnam. India’s INS-Vikrant was a big deal, and everyone is working hard to get it totally operational by November 2023.
Recently, the Indian Navy Mig-29K fighter jet arrived for the first time at night on the INS Vikrant. This is a big step toward the warship and its air wing being fully operational by the end of the year.
