India-UAE ‘Desert Cyclone’ Joint Military Exercise Strengthens Bilateral Ties

The Indian and UAE armies are taking part in a drill called “Desert Cyclone” in Rajasthan. The goal of the activity is to improve interoperability by teaching and sharing the best ways to run operations.
The India-UAE military drill “Desert Cyclone,” which will last for two weeks, started in Rajasthan earlier today, with 45 people from each force.
A press release from the Ministry of Defense said that the UAE Land Forces contingent came to take part in the first edition of the India-UAE Joint Military Exercise “Desert Cyclone.”
The drill is taking place in Mahajan, Rajasthan, and will last until January 15.
UAE troops from the Zayed First Brigade are there to defend the country. The 45 people from the Indian Army are mostly being represented by a company from the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.
Chapter VII of the UN Charter on Peacekeeping Operations says that the practice is meant to improve interoperability in non-traditional operations, such as fighting in built-up areas (FIBUA) in desert or semi-desert terrain.
The exercise will make it easier for both sides to work together and communicate during peacekeeping missions.
Establishing a Joint Surveillance Center, Cordon and Search Operation, Domination of Built-Up Area, and Heliborne Operations are some of the drills that will be practiced during Exercise “Desert Cyclone.” In addition, the exercise will help the two sides share best practices and work together more effectively.
