IAF’s Republic Day Fly-Past To Feature Spectacular ‘Tangail’ Formation With Heritage Aircraft
- The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is responsible for making both the Pinaka and Swathi radar systems.
- The Defense Secretary said that the "Beating Retreat" ceremony at Vijay Chowk on January 29 will only have Indian music.
The Indian Air Force plans to show off the Tangail formation during the Republic Day fly-past. This will include the heritage Dakota and two Dornier Do-228 aircraft.
Furthermore, the Indian Air Force has stated that these Dornier planes will be using a mix of Aviation Turbine Fuel and Biofuel.

Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, will be the guest of honor at on Republic Day.
Along with traditional items, the Republic Day parade will have large displays of modern weapon systems and platforms made in India by the Indian Army. The LCH Prachand helicopter, the Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers, and the Nag anti-tank missiles are some of the most interesting things to see.
The LCH Prachand is unique because it is the first homegrown Multi-Role Combat Helicopter that HAL designed and built. The helicopter is famous for its powerful ground attack and air combat abilities. It has modern stealth features, strong armor protection, and amazing night attack abilities.

The LCH is intended to work best on modern battlefields, with powerful air-to-air missiles, an advanced navigation system, and guns that are optimized for close combat.
Along with the Light Combat chopper (LCH), the Republic Day parade will also have the Rudra, which is a weaponized version of the ALH Dhruv chopper.
The Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers and the Swathi radar will also be shown. Both of these weapons have been successfully sold to buyers outside of India through Indian companies. There are a total of 77,000 seats set aside for the events, with 42,000 seats set aside just for regular people. The parade is set to start at 10:30 at night and will probably last for about 90 minutes.
The Defense Secretary said that the “Beating Retreat” ceremony at Vijay Chowk on January 29 will only have Indian music. This will be a proper way to end the 75th Republic Day celebrations.
