Chennai to Host International Aerospace & Defence Event in October 2025
Tamil Nadu strengthens its position as a key hub for defence manufacturing and global collaborations.

Chennai is gearing up to host a high-profile International Aerospace and Defence Event from October 7 to 9, 2025, positioning the city as a major destination for global defence and aerospace investments. The event is part of Tamil Nadu’s broader vision to promote the state as a manufacturing and innovation hub under the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor (TNDIC).
Industry experts expect participation from over 300 companies, including top global and Indian players, with delegates from more than a dozen countries. Key attendees will include prominent aerospace manufacturers, defence contractors, and start-ups aiming to showcase cutting-edge technologies and explore partnerships with Indian firms.
The three-day meet will focus on boosting indigenous defence production, encouraging technology transfers, and expanding India’s presence in the global supply chain. Tamil Nadu aims to secure significant investments while providing infrastructure and incentives to companies setting up facilities in cities such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Hosur, Salem, and Tiruchirappalli.
Recent years have seen the state sign numerous MoUs with defence and aerospace firms, reflecting a surge in investor interest. These efforts align with India’s national goal of self-reliance in defence manufacturing, with exports steadily increasing alongside domestic production.
Organizers expect the Chennai event to accelerate innovation, foster international partnerships, and further establish Tamil Nadu as a global destination for defence and aerospace technology.
