An attempt to start a fire near Leimakhong, Manipur, was stopped by the Indian Army’s quick and successful action.
Around 6:30 pm, an Army column near the town of Chingmang saw flames and smoke coming from an empty house. The Army people got to work right away and set up a safe barrier around the area. Within a few minutes of what happened, three Army water bowsers arrived at the scene, and the fire was quickly put out.
Army said that sweeping operations are also happening at the same time to find the people who tried to set the building on fire. The neighbors have been helping with the search for the people who tried to set fire to the house. The goal of the fire attempt seems to have been to upset the peace in the area.
