Safran has commenced operations at its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Hyderabad, establishing a dedicated centre in India for servicing LEAP turbofan engines with an annual capacity to handle up to 300 engine maintenance operations.
The facility marks a major expansion of Safran’s aerospace industrial presence in India and represents an important development in regional aircraft engine support capabilities. By bringing advanced engine maintenance infrastructure to India, the facility will help strengthen the country’s aviation ecosystem and provide improved support for operators using LEAP-powered aircraft.
