Indian Troops Vigilantly Defend Every Inch Of Border With China: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor

On Thursday, Ladakh Lt Governor Brig (Retd) B D Mishra said that Indian troops are protecting every inch of the border with China and that the neighboring country has not taken over even a single inch of land in the past few years.

He said that roads, helipads, airfields, tunnels, and bridges are being built quickly in Ladakh, and that India will catch up to China in this area within the next four to five years.

Brig Mishra (Retd.) was in Jammu for a three-day north-tech conference that ended on Wednesday at IIT Jammu.

The event gave academics and business people a chance to work together to come up with new ways to meet the army’s tactical needs in northern command. It also encouraged self-reliance in defense production and the spread of technology.

“If there is anyone in Asia who can compete with them (China), it is India. China is a bad place to live. So, they have always had this plan to keep India in its place, to scare it, and to force it to do what they want. So they’ve been doing it for the last 20 or 30 years,” the LG said in an exclusive chat with Video.

Mishra said that India began building facilities in the area about six or seven years ago.

“But the way we are building our roads, helipads, airfields, tunnels, and bridges, we will catch up with China in the next four or five years and have infrastructure on our borders that is as good as or better than China’s,” the Lt Governor said.

When asked about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s comments last month that everyone in Ladakh knows that China has “taken away our land,” he said that, in reality, the neighboring country has not taken over even one square inch of Indian land in the last few years.

“I wouldn’t say anything about what a certain person has said or what they are saying. I would give you an answer based on what I saw, heard, and learned during my own tour. The Chinese are not using even a single square inch of India’s land, the Lt. Governor said.
