Friday, the Indian Army sent out an advisory telling military personnel to take the right steps to deal with COVID. The advisory told them to do things like wear face masks in closed or crowded places, wash their hands often, and keep their distance from others, among other things.
The advisory has been sent out because there are more and more cases of COVID-19 in Japan, South Korea, China, and the United States. It also says that people who show signs of having the disease will be tested for it.
After 3 cases of Omicron subvariant were found in India, the Centre, states, and UTs are constantly putting out advisories and rules. On Friday, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a virtual meeting about the COVID situation in the state, while PM Modi led a high-level meeting about how ready the country is to fight a new outbreak. Chief Ministers from many states around the country are also meeting at a high level to make sure they are ready to fight any new cases of the disease.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) says that as of December 22, 90,96,43,076 samples have been checked for COVID-19. On Thursday, tests were done on 1,25,361 of these samples.
