Indian Army And IAF Join Forces In Joint Exercise Along Western Borders

- A high level of operational preparedness and synergy was shown between Western Command
On Thursday, officials said that the Shatrujeet Brigade and the Western Command of the Indian Army worked together with the Indian Air Force along the western border.
The purpose of the joint drill was to send paratroopers with new-generation weapon systems to help mechanized forces deep inside enemy territory. This was done to make it easier and better for their own forces to do their jobs.
An official statement here said that C-130J Super Hercules, C-17 Globemaster, and AN-32 aircraft were used to put troops and specialized equipment in specific places in the rough terrain with surgical accuracy.
“The exercise was done in realistic tactical settings and showed off the speed, agility, and lethality of the paratroopers to move into a hostile environment, secure dropping zones, and attack the enemy with surprise, speed, and accuracy,” it said.
“A high level of operational preparedness and synergy was shown between Western Command, strategic forces, and the Indian Air Force to carry out integrated operations in a terrain full of obstacles,” it said.
