Indian Air Force To Celebrate 92nd Raising Day In Chennai

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, will host this year’s Air Force Day parade and air display on October 8, in accordance with the longstanding tradition of hosting Air Force Day celebrations in various regions of the country.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) will celebrate its 92nd Raising Day this year, and it will be the third time that the event will be held outside of Delhi. Chandigarh and Prayagraj were the sites of previous celebrations in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
According to an official, the IAF parade and fly-past will commence in Chennai at 7:45 AM.
After the parade and fly-past, a grand airshow will be conducted over Marina Beach, featuring the IAF’s frontline fighter jets, such as the Rafale, Sukhoi, and Tejas).
The Akashganga skydiving display team is also scheduled to perform aerial stunts, and the event is anticipated to attract thousands of spectators who will witness this historic event in Chennai.
The new Air Chief, who is expected to assume office at the end of this month, will be in charge of this Raising Day. The Air Force was established on October 8, 1932, and the Raising Day is a commemoration of this event.
