India and Malaysia Begin Udara Shakti 2026 to Boost Air Force Interoperability

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) have commenced Exercise Udara Shakti 2026 at Subang Air Base in Malaysia, marking another step in the growing defence and military cooperation between India and Malaysia.

The bilateral air exercise brings air warriors from both countries together for joint field training and Subject Matter Expert exchanges. According to the Indian Air Force, the activities are focused on operational learning, sharing best practices and enhancing interoperability between the two air forces.

A key objective of Udara Shakti 2026 is to provide personnel from both sides with greater familiarity with each other’s procedures, practices and approaches to air operations.
