IAF Chief VR Chaudhari Tours Frontline Bases In Western Sector

The Indian Air Force’s Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, visited two frontline operating bases in the western sector, the IAF said in a statement on Friday.

The statement said that the IAF leader was told about how ready the bases were for operations.

During his meeting with air warriors, he praised their skill and told them to stay alert to protect the country’s skies, the statement said.

Earlier, on December 22, the Air Chief spoke at the 20th Subroto Mukerjee Seminar at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi. He emphasized India’s role as a leader in bringing the problems of the Global South to the attention of the world. He talked about why air power is important and how the IAF should be a force for progress by building strategic relationships and helping the Global South move forward as a whole.

As the IAF’s presence has grown during regular training sessions with partner countries, best practices in operations and maintenance have been shared. He also talked about the role of the Indian Military Advisory Teams and the courses given by the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation program. These programs had helped to improve cooperation by training more than 200,000 officials in both the civilian and military sectors.

The Air Chief said that the IAF had taught more than 5,000 foreigners from the Global South over the past nine years. He also said that India’s own aerospace platforms, like the LCA, LCH, Akash Missile systems, and radars, give air forces in the Global South competitive and reliable choices. This increases India’s economic and technological power.

He said again that the Indian Air Force (IAF) played a big part in foreign HADR operations, which made India’s position as a leader in the Global South even stronger.

Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari visited the offices of the Maintenance Command and the facilities of Economic Explosives Limited (EEL) earlier this month in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

He was met by Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, who is the AOC-in-C for Maintenance Command.

Head of the Solar Group, Satyanarayan Nuwal, told him about the facility and the newest goods that the company is working on.

The head of the IAF went to the Chaff facility and the Rocket Assembly Bay, which are both combined plants that make ammunition and explosives. He was also shown how Pinaka rockets are mixed and cast.
