Anti-Drone System To Secure International Borders: Amit Shah
- The home minister said that there shouldn't be a single hungry child in the country.
- He asked all member states and UTs to switch to natural and organic farming because it would help farmers in the country a lot.
On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that an anti-drone device would be put in place along the international border to make things safer.
It is important to the Modi government that the national security system is made stronger. “Soon, an anti-drone system will be put up along the borders of our country,” he said.
Shah said that one of the biggest problems the border guards have had is people sneaking weapons, drugs, and ammo across the international border into Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the government has been able to crack down on drugs and terrorism under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He was giving a speech at the Northern Zonal Council’s 31st meeting in Amritsar.
He said that in the last five years, the role of zonal councils has changed from giving advice to being action platforms. He also said that the Northern Zonal Council is important for India’s development and safety because it is home to 21% of the country’s land and 13% of its people. He said that more than 35% of the food grains are grown in the Northern range.
Shah said that most of the people who work in the Army and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) that guard the country’s borders are from the Northern Zonal Council states and union territories. The Union minister asked the members—Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, and Chandigarh—to talk about their disagreements about sharing water with each other and keep an open mind.
He asked all the member states to pay extra attention to problems that were important to the whole country, like the number of kids who drop out of school and those who aren’t getting enough food. The home minister said that there shouldn’t be a single hungry child in the country. He said that lowering the number of students who drop out of school was everyone’s job. He also said that boosting the cooperative movement would help more than 60 crore people in the country become wealthy.
He asked all member states and UTs to switch to natural and organic farming because it would help farmers in the country a lot. He also promised to help the government of Himachal Pradesh deal with the problems caused by the recent rains.
