Aero India 2023: PM Modi Says India Seeks $5 Billion In Defence Exports By 2024/25

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoted India as a prime location for defence industry investment and claimed it will become a prominent military gear exporter.
After inaugurating Aero India 14 at the Yalahanka Air Force station complex outside Bengaluru, Modi made the remarks.
Officials stated 700 defence companies and 98 nations are attending the five-day exhibition.
Aero India is highlighting India’s growing military aircraft, helicopters, equipment, and avionics industry.
Modi stated the 21st-century “New India” will never miss an opportunity or work hard.
India is becoming one of the world’s biggest military gear exporters, the prime minister declared.
“Today, Aero India is not just a display, but it is also reflection of India’s self-confidence and capability,” he stated in front of top executives of global defence corporations and delegates from several countries.
Aero India’s new strength and objectives, he remarked.
He added India’s triumphs, such as the indigenously developed Tejas aircraft, demonstrate its potential.
An air show featured many Indian Air Force planes.
Aero India’s theme, “The runway to a billion opportunities,” promotes India’s defence and aerospace capabilities.
Officials said the event showcases indigenous equipment and technology and forges relationships with global companies in accordance with the government’s “Make in India, Make for the World” strategy.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated Aero India will boost India’s aerospace industry.
